Guest guest
Hi everyone!! Just thought I'd update you on what's going on since I miscarried on July 23rd. I thought I started my period yesterday, but it turns out it must have just been some spotting or something. Yesterday it was a real faint pinkish. Today there's nothing. I must be getting ready though, so that's good news and I'm right on schedule. My ob/gyn said I'd get my first period 4-6 weeks after the m/c. My body is working properly and that's always good news. I talked to my dr's nurse this morning. Good think I called and asked about the timing of TTC after having gotten my rubella vaccination on July 28th. I have to wait three months! UGH!!! I was hoping we could go for it right away. I guess in the whole scheme of things three months isn't a big deal, but I'm a bit disappointed. I'm trying to look at the positive side though. I have a few things I can get done now: paint some rooms in the house, lose 10-15 lbs before I get pregnant, etc. And the really good news is that as Director of Children's Ministry, if I get pregnant in early Nov. or so, my maternity leave from work would be right around the time Sunday School is getting ready to start next fall. Might as well get the mose out of the maternity leave, right??? My schedule is a bit slower in the summer, so who'd want to take leave then?? LOL So there are good things about having to wait. The bad thing is that I'll be even closer to 38 when I give birth and that scares me a bit. I'm healthier than I ever have been though, thanks to the surgery, so I'm sure everything will be just fine. Thanks for listening to me ramble!!! Love and peace... Melody Surgeon: Dr. Clayton, River Falls Hospital, River Falls, WI Surgery Date: 04/30/02 Highest Weight: 298 lbs. Today's Weight 160 lbs (although my lowest was a year ago at 144 lbs...and that ticks me off)
