Guest guest
(((((Robin))))) Sending huge hugs your way, sweetie... I am so sorry you had such a lousy day, Robin...I hope that taking the time for you, posting etc and doing things for you has helped... I am glad they treated you for the strep. Strep is a bacterial infection that needs to be treated promptly - so good for them for finding it. In Canada where I live, they do a vag swab for strep at 36 weeks to prevent any surprises for delivery time. I imagine they do there too.. I too am pregnant with my very first after many yrs of trying. I know the pains can be scary, - I had the sharp ones that hit on either side. Sometimes lasting about one hr which really sucked alot, lol..From what I have been told by Dr's and read, I believe my pain was uterine ligament pain - stretching pains - from the uterus getting bigger. They occasionally come and go still, but have gotten 100% better after about the 14-16 week mark. As for constipation - that one was (and to a smaller effect still is) a HUGE problem for me...There was a day where I almost needed an ER and a plumber in the same day, lol...Follow your Dr's advice on it, drink lots of fluids and eat alot of fibre... As for emotions....You are in your first trimester, Robin...hormone changes are a huge thing...Know that its okay to feel like you are going to scream one minute and cry hysterically the next...and find someone to be with you through those times, k? One day at a time.... Oh ya, and another thing we have in common besides being first time Moms with problems conceiving pre op....I had a VBG last year as well...I know the majority of people here have had the RNY, but wanted you to know I am a VBG'er too...Thank God for Dr H...He gave me the tool not only to lose weight, but to realize my dream of becoming a Mommy... Hang in there, Robin... All the best, Z VBG May 6/03 -104lb in 9 mos EDC Nov 10/04 - 28w + 1day > Hi All, > > I'm staying home sick today and feeling horrible, so I turn to my online > support group.
