" Shots stink! Today, I went to see the nice lady Dr who cuddles me and

makes me smile. She said I weigh 11 lbs 8 oz. I will be 4 months old

tomorrow, so she says I'm petite and very healthy. She said I do cool

stuff that 6 month old babies do, and that I'm advanced, whatever that

means. She told mommy I'm too strong to sleep in the bassinet anymore

and that made mommy kinda sad. She says I'm growing up too fast. Mommy

is supposed to start giving me rice cereal tonight. Is it any good?

Anyway, after the nice lady Dr left, a different lady came in. She

seemed nice at first, but then she gave me two big shots!!! One in

each leg! I screamed so loud, but I couldn't help it. They really

hurt! Mommy cried, too, so it must have hurt her too! Well, that's the

update. I don't feel so good, but mommy is giving me extra cuddles and

medicine, too. This is a warning to all those babies out there...Shots

Stink! "

" PS. Don't tell mommy I used her computer or she will think I am

feeling better and I won't get to take medicine every four hours. That

ohhhhh, poor bbay girl, shots do stonk, emerson agrees with you. You will

like rice cereal though, Emerson is on a little bit already and his brothers and

sisters loved it too. you sure are growing nicely sweetie

I hope that Cadence feels better soon. Hannah tried to warn all her other

" April " buddies that these nasty shots were coming, LOL! At least Cadence only

got 2 shots, poor Hannah got 4! Looks like Cadence is about the same size as

Hannah as she weighed in at 11lbs 5.25ozs. Hannah likes rice cereal, especially

when I mix it with apple juice, though I don't give it to her every day. Is

Cadence cutting any teeth yet? I swear Hannah is ready to pop one any day now

with all the drooling she is doing.

Dearest Big Girl Cadence,

What a big day for you! And what big owies too! I am so sorry that

nurse had to poke you.

I want you to know that it also makes nurses very sad when they have

to poke little ones too...even though they know it is for the good

of their health. Nurse who has worked with babies for 11 yrs

still gets sad when she makes kids cry...

Know that it will feel better really soon, sweetie...
