Guest guest
Gentian Violet is a dye - purple, very vibrant...that you can use to get rid of thrush (candida) in baby's mouth...Leaves them looking like they have od'd on grape koolaid in a big way, but works really well... I was surprised to hear its available OTC in the US...Wow, Canada just takes its time with meds sometimes! > Usually krogers will have it. You just have to ask for it. That's where I got it the last time anyway. Works great. > Sheila --->gentian violet > To: ossg-pregnant <mailto:ossg- pregnant > > > Hey fellow nursemate, > > Curious....are they still using the gentian in the US widely? Reason > I ask is that in my province, it is VERY difficult to get an rx for > it these days. My two neices struggled with nystatin for months till > my sis in law finally convinced the Dr to order the gentian...which > of course, worked like a charm the first time.... > > Just wonderin'.... > > Hope all is well with you, > > > EDC Nov 10 > > > > Children are a blessing, and a gift from the Lord. -Psalm 127:3 >
