Guest guest
His fever went up again at 5 this morning to 100.5 and I got it down with tylenol and then he seemsed fine but right at noon it went to 101.4 so I called his doctor since he was still att he office and he had us go in and he gave Emerson a antibiotic shot to be safe and he needs another shot of antibiotics tomorrow at 9:30. My poor little man is going to hate that doctor. But it is better to be safe than sorry. They still cannot pinpoint to fever so they just say something viral and it is lingering longer than the other boys had it so it may be something different or just cause he is so little. My Sammy was 7 weeks old when he was first admitted to the hospital for RSV, then he was in ICU 2ce and one more time just to a regular room (Total 4 times in the first 4 months of his life!) He had regular blood tests and shots and horrible terrible things happen to him to try to figure out why he was so so sick. He is 3 gonna be 4 soon and loves the doctor. You are actually better off now since he is too young to remember the crazy things they do to him (like the baggie to catch the urine-how nuts is that-Sammy had that too!) It is harder on the mommies and daddies at this point! Hang in there! Jeanette in IL Lap RNY 5-9-03 264/145/135??
