Guest guest
Hi everyone! It's been a while since I posted, sorry. I was trying to do some catching up on all the posts and ran into the article on the lady who died because of complications from her hernia. This scares me 1/2 to death beacause I have an umbilical hernia that 3 out of 4 doctors decided I should wait to have fixed unitl after the baby was born...Now I am second guessing that decision.(I know it's too late now,I am 22 weeks, but it really scares me.) I can't lift anything because if I do, I get terrible pain. The doctor's are aware of this and of course their solution is not to lift anything. Thank God I have a very helpful husband , 10 year old daughter and 12 year old son... I thought finding out I was highrisk because of the history of PE when I was 19 was bad enough. I will be on lovenox until 3 months after delivery. I guess I am just really worried and need reassurance that everything will be okay!!!!!! I went to the GP Wednesday because I have had an earache forabout a week and he tells me my ears are clear however, my throat is really red and my gland are swollen!! (Why can't I have anything normal????) I have taken amoxicillin 100's of times in the past and no complications, they had to switch to Ceclor on Saturday because I have been so sick to my stomach.(Well, I am still sick to my stomach..)Thank God I haven't been vomiting. I didn't tell them that during the past week i HAVE LOST 8 POUNDS!!!! I go for a heart study on the baby Wednesday to the high risk unit and will let them know then. Thanks for letting me vent. Guest guest
Dianne, I am sure you are such a different case than this gal! The smartest thing to do is be the squeeky wheel and make sure they check you out from head to toe to make sure the same thing doesn't happen. I am sure they are aware of the case and will know what to do to assure that the same thing doesn't happen again! With that said, I understand why you are freaking out, but remember that is not healthy for you or the baby! It totally stinks that you are so resistant to all the meds they are giving you. It sounds like you are staying on top of it and getting the care you need. Remember even when you lose weight that your baby will take everything he or she needs first, so he or she will be fine. Just remember you are gonna have to be in the best health you can when the main event comes! Good luck and I will keep you and your little one in my thoughts and prayers!
