I joined this list a little bit ago....was in the process of getting

okayed for surgery when bingo---found out I was pregnant. I am due

in November and I did ask the RN that heads the surgery center what

kind of time frame I was looking at post-baby to have the surgery,

she basically just said to call her and let her know when I am ready

to go......

My question is in regards to nursing. Of course I will be asking the

doctors and such, but I am trying to get a calander of sorts in my

head---I am in grad school and am taking time off to have the baby, I

dont want to take more time off than I need to---Can you nurse post-

surgery?? Or should the baby be weened even before I have it? My

initial thought is that the body might have a hard time producing

milk during those rapid weight loss weeks.....
