There IS a way around that IF you type up a letter and notorize it OR have the office have you sign a release form that will allow them to leave a message on your machine with the info OR to leave the info directly with your husband. *************************************************** K in Ft Lauderdale Noah - 10/14/02 - 31 weeker Jonah - edd 11/18/04 ( currently High Risk Pg.. not WLS related) Open RNY - 12/02/03 262/200/someday maybe in the 120's?? Guest guest
My docs office is not being very helpful. I went in Aug 4th and had an US and he found cysts on the baby's brain (which scares the crap out of me). But he insist that these kinds of things are normal and go away 99% of the time on their own. So I am suppose to have another US in 10 (from Aug 4th) to check on them. I noticed on my next appointment card that I was scheduled for Sept 1st (which was only 4 weeks, not 10). So I called office and I am having the hardest time getting a straight answer. I just want to know, 1) Am I having a US on the 1st? 2) And if I am, is that too soon to see the cyst gone? 3) if I am not having an US, please set me up and appointment for that 10 week mark!!!!!!!! I have left messages after messages. I am a teacher so it is hard to reach me at work and by time I am done with school it is hard to reach them. I call, leave a message and they call and leave a message. So I called finally talked with a nurse and she said " Hmmm is doesn't say here that he wants to see you in 10 weeks. And it does say you are having and US on the 1st. I will talk to the doc and call you back. " I asked her to please leave the answer on my machine or with my husband! When I got home, the message said, " Hi this is so and so, Please call us back!!!!!!!!! " AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Sorry, just annoyed. Thanks for letting me vent! Guest guest
I hear ya Trisha. I would be n-u-t-s. It's hard not to feel like just a #, if this were happening to the doc's wife, I bet she would be 'hooked up' & know all the timelines. Guest guest
Hey trish, Just try to remember that most doctors offices have a policy of not leaving ANYTHING on a machine because of all that new legislation that has been passed regarding your personal information (you know, the darn slips that you have to sign just about everywhere these days). I use to work in Health Care and it really is a pain when you cannot even leave WHAT doctors office you are confirming an appt. for these days.....
