Guest guest
I think the one I had rented was www.babybeats.com or something similar and I loved the one I rented. It was brand new or looked it and I ordered 2 extra bottles of US gel from them too. When I returned it they instantly stopped taking the payments off my debit card. I was able to hear the heartbeat early, can't remember how early but it was really early like 10-12 weeks I beleive. Guest guest
I came across a website that you are able to rent a home doppler system. Does anyone do this? Is it worth the money to have one at home and do they work well? What sites do you guys go through to rent one. I wish I would have saved the site when I came across it. Darn it. Any help would be apprieciated. Pamela Lap RNY 11.7.03 Kaylee 1.24.01 EDD 2/26/

I have lost babies before and with my risks I just needed the peace of mind. even now I started bleeding at 15 1/2 weeks and have been on bedrest since then (no fun!) so having the reassurance of hearing junior's chugging heartbeat is worth that money to me easily. I did ask for the 2 megahertz doppler machine as it is recommended for larger women, so if you made it to your weight goal then you could probably use the normal 3 megahertz wand, but if you have a bit of tummy still the 2 megahertz might be more effective. I was able to find the heartbeat with only about 2 minutes of hunting and that was at around 12 1/2 weeks. Now we have to move a little higher up my abdomen every week or so but it is still not too hard to find the heartbeat. I told myself I would only keep it til I could feel the baby start moving around, and the last 3 days I have felt a fluttery butterfly tickling kind of sensation in my tummy. very hard to describe, like a giddy nervousness only without any attached emotions, just the physiological sensations. I described it to my mom and sis and they sad that's what it was like for them. Hope this info helps Colleen open RNY 5-9-03 361/219/160 EDD 1-23-
