Hello Colleen, Although I dont know much about the ketosis during

pregnancy I can relate to the mind game we play on ourselves

involving the weight loss and gain during pregnancy. I have battled

this over and over again in the 21 weeks I have been pregnant. I have

only gained 3.5lbs at my last visit. I see the doc again tom and will

weigh in then but I doubt I have gained much more. My clothes dont

feel like it. Everything fits a little loose except in the tummy area

where junior is growing. Calorie wise I havent been keeping track

exactly how many calories I consume a day. However I do eat every 2-3

hours and I let myself pretty much have anything I can tolerate. I

watch the surgars and only allow myself I bad snack a day. I

concentrate on getting plenty of protien and a good amount of fiber

in the diet. I love veggies and fruits although these seem to make me

really gassy and that is not fun. The hardest part of the protien

intake I have experienced is that my little man doesnt like it. When

I consume some it makes me nauseated or gives me a tummy ache. It

just depends from day to day. So I have had to get a little creative.

I use to eat alot of eggs pre pregnancy and cant stand them now (not

even the smell).

To put this all in perspective, we need to eat for the baby growing

inside right now. We will not ruin the tool we were given and after

the baby is born from what I have read here and been told by my docs

I should be able to resume a normal eating plan and the extra pounds

should just slide right off. If they dont then I know how to work my

tool to get the results I am pursuing. I wish you and baby much

success and luck on your journey's.
