Guest guest
Bobbie, Not to be a party-pooper, but the clomid gave me ALL of the early pregnancy symptoms so perhaps its just the clomid working it's hormones on you? It's no fun, but you are in the 2 week wait period! I know, I'll say it for you, " AAARRGGGGGGGGG!!!!! " Sheila (btdt) lol been there, done that-lol
Guest guest
Bobby, I don't know if it is too early yet for sore breast. But did want to say hi and wish you luck. My LMP was 8/4 and I too am on CD 21. I had an LH surge on CD 12 & 13 so hopefully I ovulated. So far I don't feel anything, I am having nausea but I was having that before related to metformin. I am going to test next week. Hoping for BFP's for both of us. Pam
Guest guest
Bobby, This will be my third child, second biological child. We have a 10 year old daughter (bio) and our son is 3 years old (adopted). Years ago we had 2 miscarriages then 3 years of infertility (we choose not to go any further than clomid since we were open to adoption). I never thought I would be able to have any more children the old fashioned way not even after my gastric bypass. Until I met someone who did. So when we got the urge to add to the family I did some research on pregnancy after WLS (there is no way we can afford to go the adoption route again-too expensive). We are very optimistic that things will go well for us this time and so are my doctors. Can't wait until next week! Pam open RYN 11/24/02 230 pre (I am only 5 ft tall) 133 current 120 goal (maybe wishful thinking)

Guest guest
Pam, I was reading your entry and noticed that you are taking Metformin? Is that because of PCOS? This was my first month on Metformin and I had a week where the side effects were horrible. It seems to be a little better now. I too am waiting right now to see if I am pregnant. Have you heard anything about whether Metformin changes the length of your usual Luteal Phase? My usual is 11 days which I am 14 now, so I am late. I should test, but am so nervous to see yet another negative that I am waiting it out. I figured that maybe it is just a reaction to the Metformin. Did it have any effect on your period? Thanks Philippa

Guest guest
Philippa, Yes I have PCO. I have been taking the metformin for 3 months this time around and this is my first month off BCPs. When I used it before it did regulate my cycles (without it I didn't have a period) and they were about 34 days long, unfortunately I don't know when or if I did ovulate so I don't know how long my Luteal Phase was. You have a lot of self control not to have tested yet! I actually plan to test the day before my period is due with the early detection test. If I am pregnant I need to start progesterone ASAP with my hx of miscarriages and low progesterone counts. Hope you have a BFP when you test.
