Guest guest
Anyone have trouble with Light Headedness? EVERYTIME I stand up I get VERY light headed. Sometimes I even feel week in the knees and my arms feel like they weight 1000 pounds. It last for about 30 seconds usually. Every once in a while it last longer. I asked my surgeon about it and he said its because my BP is dropping when I stand up to stand up slow but even if i stand up slow..Like taking a good 45 seconds to stand completely up it does it. Its driving me INSANE and I am scared as I get farther along in my pregnancy it may even cause me to fall or something. I had it the first 3-4 months postop then it went away...Then when I got pregnant it started again. So i dont know if it has something to do with being pregnant or a combination of the 2 or what. Thanks for listening... Oh and a little update. I went for my first OB appt Tuesday. He did an exam and confirmed the pregnancy. They couldnt find the heartbeat which he wasnt concerned about because he said I may be be too early or the baby wasnt cooperating...I wanted an u/s BAD to get a due date but I had to wait because they are sending me to Maternal Fetal because of the kidney disease so I go there Tuesday 8/31 but I am a bit upset because kids cant go to maternal fetal and my daughter was SOOOOO looking forward to it! Guess I will have to bring her pics... It is LITERALLY driving me insane to not know how far along I am so Tuesday cant get here fast enough. I also have a question about being tired. I notice that I am 100 times more tired this go around. MY daughter was pre WLS and now.. Is this common? I know all pregnancies are different but I was curious if it was due to the WLS as well and the malabsorbtion on all the nutrients and stuff. Thanks for taking the time to read. Congrats and good luck to all. I have been reading all the post but havent had time to respond. Guest guest
Hi Crystal - The same thing happened to me - I was getting light headed every time I stood up for about 2 days and then finally passed out at the DMV - So I called my OBGYN and they told me to come in do some blood and they also did my first u/s. Everything came back totally fine and they just said that sometimes in the first trimester your blood pressure just drops, its normal and sent me on my way. I do not get the feeling that often anymore - that was about a weeks ago.
