Guest guest
Just thought I'd try to check in alittle more often. (Very hard to do with a 10yr old, 12 year old and home daycare!) I needed some advise on lifting during pregnancy. I have an umbilical hernia and if I lift anything it hurts! I watch 1 and 2 yr olds so lifting is part of my job. I just wondered if anyone else has this problem and ideas on how to solve it. My doctor says DON " T LIFT- well that's easier said than done, I need to help pay the bills as long as I can.... Take Care Dianne due 12-24-04 23 weeks Friday........YEAH!!!
Guest guest
here's a suggestion dianne...i had it when i worked at a day care, it was awesome...for changing diapers, have a tall step stool next to the changing table and help the children walk up it for changing thier diapers...then you don't have to lift for that. and try sitting when you need to " cuddle " them. sounds painful, good luck...hope it helps!? aka mom2ben99 (jennilee75@...) Guest guest
can you put some kind of binder on to help make you moe comfortable. I have a hernia like that too and my ob had told me if it gave me a problem to get a binder.
