Guest guest
Hi all! So glad to have found this group. I found out I was pregnant for the first time about three weeks ago and it wasn't planned but certaintly a surprise. I was told it was highly unlikely I would have children. The timing probably could have been better but I look at it like this is a gift and could be my only chance. I am 34 and engaged and had a March wedding planned and was going to school and working two jobs. I have to postpone my school to next summer but I feel it be ok. We have moved the wedding up to the end of October so hopefully my dress will still fit. I have my 1st u/s on Monday to give a due date. I am 17 mths post op. I have perncious anemia and found out my hemoglobin was low. Is that iron and is tha common being pregnant anyway or from the wls too? I have had moring sickness anf seems to be worse after everythime I eat. I'm seing a ObyGyn and the said they would treat this as a normal pregnancy unless problems arise. My question is do you continue to see your surgeon or just keep them updated? I didn't realize we were suppose to take our normal vitamin regimen+ calcium in addition to the prenatal vitamins. Do you need to worry about to much ? I have been getting dizz and lightheaded wasn't sure if it was from not getting enough liquids in. I was wondering since they say babies pull the calcium out do the dentists ever so sealing or fluoride treatments while being pregnant? Just curious. How on earth do you get enough food in? I'm trying to force myself to eat more often but along w/the nausea and getting full plagues me. I was thinking about adding a protein shake in or two. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance,
Guest guest
Welcome, Kelley. My amateur opinion is that the anemia is wls related. I was grimly & unpleasantly surprised to find about I have osteopenia. Continue to be pro active & keep the faith. WlsMomma > Hi all! So glad to have found this group. I am 17 mths post op.
