Parenthood CAN be daunting.... but I have really lightened up ALOT ... especially having had a preemie and now my baby is almost 2 and we are still dealing with " preemie " issues.. For me it just got easier to go with the flow.. UNLESS of course I am fighting for Services for Noah's delays... Then I am a mommy maniac.. This pregnancy I have no expectations... and hoping not to be disappointed. I was crushed when I had to leave the hospital after giving birth WITHOUT a baby.... I didn't get my water birth... I didn't get the breastfeeding I so wanted... and of course we underwent a financial OOPS.... I had planned to go back to work and Noah would have only been in daycare for 4 hours .. 3x a day with my schedule and hubby's schedule. Noah's early birth and health demanded no daycare for the first year... and by the time I paid for a Nanny... it wasn't worth the few extra hundred dollars. I must say.. even tho Noah has some very challanging days.. he is the light of my life and I wouldn't change a thing *************************************************** K in Ft Lauderdale Noah - 10/14/02 (31 weeker - DX of SID ) Jonah - edd 11/18/04 ( currently High Risk Pg.. not WLS related)
Guest guest
Thanks, . This 1st timer lives for crossing all the t's & dotting all the i's. I ~try~ to be as interactive with the docs, kinda sorta testing them to see if we're compatible. Life has taught me that I can't be a " yes " patient, lots of times I bring in med literature for us to review, etc. I'm not the type to let go of the reigns, perhaps a defect, but oh well, hehe. Anyway, dh & I have dreamed of this bb since we met 4+ years ago, so I'm 99% excited & the other 1% I'm daunted! Parenthood seems like a giant challenge, plus there's trillions of decisions/arrangements to make. ...Still haven't ironed out the ~length~ of my maternity leave etc etc. How are you? Let's see if Hurr Frances decides to visit us....
