Guest guest
It seems like not too long ago that I was only 6 weeks along and anxiously awaiting the end of the first trimester(Ihave never made it past 12 weeks before) I was so jelous of those whe were able to feel the movements of their little ones and excited for those new mommies. Well that was back in Janurary - time has moved so much faster than I expected and here I am at the end finally 38 weeks along. I have peace in my heart and am not nervous about the upcomming delivery( I just know it will be as smooth as the rest of my pregnancy was) I went in the other day and they did an ultrasound to check growth ect. She is now 6.5 lbs which is great since my family tends to have babies between 5-6.10 lbs.(nobody has had one larger than 7lbs) Everything looks good as far as her development goes and she is pretty much ready to come. She has been head down since about 14 weeks so she is still in position. The only concern is my fluid levels are very low. They have no idea as to why they are low - i am getting at least 80 oz of water in a day. I will go in on tuesday and they are going to do a fetal stress test another ultrasound and a physical examination. If the fluids are still low and of concern or the baby seems to be in any kind of stress they are going to induce me next week. I have mixed feelings about - yeah I am anxious to meet my little Sienna and finally hold her and I definately do not want any complications from waiting too long. I did want to have her pick her own birthday though and come when she was ready. Another good thing about it though will be my husband will be able to be there with me for sure. He is currently working out of state and it will take about 4 hours for him to drive to the hospital when labor starts. If we know what day they will induce then he can be sure to be there. I just hope all goes well and I know it will not be long now. This site has been a great help in reassuring me of many things even though I do not post much. Good luck to all of you newbies out there your time will come before you know it. - Diane
