Guest guest
Is any one having troubles sleeping? I am usually a very heavy sleeper. I sleep right through thunder storms and I could even get up in the middle of the night go pee and fall right back to sleep. Now the littlest sound will wake me up and then I just lay there and stare at the clock. This really sucks, because I am sooo tired during the day, and fall asleep almost the second I hit the pillow. Not anymore. Any suggestions would be wonderful. Thanks! Guest guest
I am so having sleeping issues. I am so tired when I go to bed, but I am up 3 or 4 times a night, just laying there. It drives me crazy because then I know I will be tired again the next day. It is a cycle that I cannot break. I hope it is temporary and thing get back to normal soon. Guest guest
I've had a terrible time sleeping at night now. I wake up for two and three hours at a time. I can't figure it out. I tried going to bed a bit later to see if I'd sleep through the night and it didn't work. I wish I had the answer... someone tell me when they know. ~Sandy RNY Dr.Caruana - 5/21/03 330/198 Expecting #1 - 3/17/05 =============================================================== moderator note: I found taking my Citracal 1,500-2,000mg at bedtime helped ttremendously! Guest guest
Thats me - I am up at night about the same amount of time I sleep. It does really suck and I do not have any suggestions but can relate to you. Good luck sleeping through the night. - Diane > Is any one having troubles sleeping? I am usually a very heavy sleeper. Guest guest
I am 19 weeks and I can totally empathize. I have only been sleeping from 10-12 or 1, and then I am up the rest of the night. I usually am a great sleeper, but I am told insomnia and pregnancy go together. It's crappy, especially trying to stay awake at work. By about 2:30, I'm ready for a nap. LOL lisa rny 4/01 edd 2/1/05 > I am so having sleeping issues. Guest guest
I don't know what class drug the phegran (do you mean phenegran?) is, but I do know that my doctor suggested and a midwife in the same practice said she would have died without Unisom. It I believe is a class B drug, so it is safe after your first trimester. They use it for colds, sleeping, and nausea. If your nausea is morning sickness or awake sickness as I called it, I was TERRIBLY sick in my first trimester, threw up at least 5-10 times a day, try to make sure you are eating frequently enough. I wish someone would have given me that tip early on. I figured it out right at the end of my first trimester, just before I started feeling better, but it definately helped. When I let myself get hungry at all, my stomach acids would start churning away. But if I ate SOMETHING every half hour or so, even if it was two or three crackers, it was a HUGE relief. Anyway, you may want to try that. I still eat about every half hour to hour. Even wake up in the middle of the night still and always wander to the kitchen and make a snack at least once or twice a night. They say the wakeful nights are preparing you for the sleepless nights once the baby gets here. Whatever it is, they sure have been a pain for me too. I finally just gave in and started napping in my car on my lunch hour because I wasn't sleeping at night. It works well for me now. Hope it helps. Guest guest
the phenergan (yes i typoed it in the last email) is what i mneat. it's an antinausea med. it worked wonders for me while preggo with ben, so hoping it does this one too. i was hardly awake while preggo with ben, but i didn't have any kids either. can't do that this time...so tonight was the first time i took it, we'll see. yes i talked to the dr and he said it's jsut pregnancy and it's preparing your body for when the baby actually comes. as for the all day 24/7 sickness, it has nothing to do with when i eat, it's if i move, literally. no matter what. i throw up water, crackers, etc...everything and anything, i've tried wating more often, it doesn't help. so i'm on phergan at night and zofran before each time i eat. (i'm only 6 months post op and 4 months preggo). aka mom2ben99 (jennilee75@...) Guest guest
I'll have to ask my doc about this next Wed at my 30 wk appt. I'm also having problems. Not up so much to pee, but due to throbbing in my legs, restlessness and the baby kicking me so hard that you'd think the mattress was a drum. I usually get 5 good hours in before I'm up and wandering the house. I still work (and am already a mom) and by the time the pain goes away, I'm too awake to go back to sleep! Maybe he'll be able to prescribe something! in Detroit
Guest guest
Me, me, me, too! For a while my body pillow, Fred, took care of business. I've heard that lavender cream is supposed to help...haven't tried it yet. Another cause of my sleeplessness is my 10 year old dog, diagnosed with bone cancer, who gets up 3 or 4 times a night:-( The vet gave him till December to live. I'm tormented since I need to function the following day, I work FT. This is slightly off topic, so if anyone has any ideas to ease my poor dog's suffering, pls email me: brideandgroom2001 (AT) yahoo (DOT) Thanks! Guest guest
Thanks, Sandy. Well, about naming my pillow---you know how some people look like someone? Like, he looks like a Mike or a Steve? The moment I cuddled up lovingly to my body pillow, my looney preggo brain came up with " Fred " . Luckily, dh isn't the jealous type, hehehe. ...Think we'll miss Fred after bb gets here. WlsMomma 26 weeks It's a BOY! -- In OSSG-pregnant , " Sandy Mangani " <smangani@a...> wrote: > Ahhhh. How sad.
