Guest guest
Though I havent had the WLS, I have had much experience with TTC. I've been a member of a few other online groups supporting those TTC. I have learned alot and experienced alot myself. If I can be of any help, please dont hesitate to ask... My TTC story: I was on depo provera. I got 3 injections and it was horrible. Please do not ever take it. Anyways, I tried for 1 yr without the help of a dr. Then I spent the next year trying to find a dr I liked. Finally, I found a great one and she did testing right away. We found out that I had a septum in my uterus. A septum is a piece of skin that has no blood flow, possibly causing a miscarriage. My ob consulted with an RE (reproductive endocrinologist) and he said to try me on 50 mgs clomid for 3 months and see what happens. I got pregnant the 3rd month, only to miscarry around 6 weeks. I was then referred to the RE office where the Re said I needed to have the septum removed for a safe pgcy. However, she said I was morbidly obese and would not perform the surgery until I lost weight. I stayed with that dr for a year, trying to lose weight. I had lost 30 lbs when I found out both of my sisters were pregnant. After hearing that, I quickly gained the weight back and was devestated to find out that my insurance was changing and I would need to find a new RE. I had my first appt with Dr. Durso of Virginia in Jan and was pregnant at the end of Feb with my twin boys! During that time, I had many ups and downs. Many of my friends have been through experiences.. I know alot and would love to help anyone in need ot TTC help. ~Ginny
