Hey a,

I found out that I have become lactose intolerant

since getting pregnant. If I stay away from milk, I

do so much better. OF course there are some foods

that still give me gas problems, but this was true

before pregnancy...I just try to stay away from those

foods as much.

My appetite has began to pick up a little this week.

I am feeling actual hunger pains. I will wake up at

night and need something to eat, and most mornings I

wake up famished! I also can eat pretty

normally...nothing like pre-op, but pretty normal.

I am not eating sweets so much now. The junk food

that I liked was cookies and ice cream...The ice cream

is a BIG NO NO now...and the cookies have lost their

appeal now that I can't enjoy a glass of milk with

them...so I dont eat any them anymore. My problem

however is that I am drinking more pop. I used to

allow myself maybe a coke 3 or 4 times a week...now,

since I am not drinking milk, I am wanting more coke,

and I know that this is bad! I usually dont have more

than one can a day, but i know that is to much really.

I am looking for a substitute for milk, and coke. I

can't tolerate diet drinks, crystal lite ect, and I

don't like tea, wish I did! ...I do drink a lot of

water though...

I am 22 months out, and had my surgery done in

Hurricane, WV by Dr. Fichter, a really great doc I

might add. I don't think you should worry about not

gaining weight so far. I am 10 weeks, and I have lost

almost 10 lbs since. I'm sure that will change soon

enough for both of us. My first pregnancy before WLS

I lost weight during the first trimester, but then

packed on almost 50 lbs! I'm sure we wont gain

anything near that, but you probably will start

gaining a little here and there, so dont worry so

much.

As for the vits, I am taking 2 prenatals a day. So

far my labs are right on, if they start to get off

whack, I will add more...but right now they are fine.

More labs are to be checked at the end of this month,

so I'll let ya know.
