Guest guest
My 6.5 yo DS (recovered from ASD) just got his first 6 year molar. The dentist is recommending sealants once at least 3 of the molars come in. What are your thoughts? I have done some brief research in the past and I know that BPA is a concern. The hygienist told me that the ones that they use don't have BPA (obviously I would confirm this). There is also a risk that years from now they will start to loosen and cavities can form under the edges. I don't know how much of a risk that is. Do you think that it is worth it to have them put in the teeth or should I be concerned about the materials in the sealants? Thanks,
Guest guest
Our new dentist who is very careful with toxins (removes/doesnt use mercury fillings, uses a camera instead of xrays) doesn't recommend the sealants bc of the bpa..and I think the cavity risk underneath too but now I can't remember.-- Sent from my Palm Pre My 6.5 yo DS (recovered from ASD) just got his first 6 year molar.
