Guest guest
When I went to my Dr. this week for an unrelated matter I told her that we stopped taking BCP and were TTC. She told me I should start taking a prenatal vitamin. Any suggestions on which is the best (keeping in mind I can't swollow a horse size pill)? Sab =============================================================== modeators note: I took 3 chewable Flintstones and also extra calcium, B12 and FOLIC ACID! Folic acid and B12 are vital to all pre-pregnant and pregnant women. Some studies lately have suggested that low B12 and low folic acid levels contribute to a number of miscarriages. The folic acid helps prevent neural tube defects. Sheila L & D RN

Any suggestions on which is the best (keeping in mind I can't swollow a horse size pill)? Sab, My OB didn't prescribe a prenatal vitamin for me because he said the over the counter vitamins were just as good. The one that I take I bought at Wal-Mart and it is called " One Source " . The label has pink on it. It is smaller than the multi-B vitamin that I took after surgery, until I got pregnant. I can also take it any time of day and it doesn't upset my stomach at all or make me nauseous. I take one prenatal vitamin daily in addition to calcium twice a day, Chromagen (iron), and my monthly B12 shot. Best wishes! Guest guest
Sabreena -- I had my Ob/Gyn write me a prescription for Chromagen OB which I was able to get filled at Costco relatively cheaply. I took three of those plus 3 ADEKS each day (along withe my calcium) STEPH
