Guest guest
My daughter's lithium level is extremely low. Our doctor has ordered the lithium orotate at 5 mg capsule two times weekly. I am suspicious that this may not be enough. I am going to question him at our follow up appt., in the meantime, I wanted to see if any of you are using this with your kids and what your experience with dosing etc....has been. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. .
Guest guest
Hi We are taking 4.8mg once a day. The only way that our dr looks at dosing is to get a hair test before and after at 3 mths, to see if there is a response, ie, that the child is releasing the excess, whereas before there was no lithium being released. Hope this helps. Guest guest
My dan ped, told me in the blood is not so a reliable parameter, by hair may shown good results. Also, look at lithium/selenium balance, in fact most of the cases, doctors prescribes both of them, although just lithium is low.Enviado desde mi dispositivo BlackBerry® de Orange.Sender: mb12valtrex Date: Tue, 19 Jun 2012 07:47:16 -0400To: <mb12valtrex >ReplyTo: mb12valtrex Subject: Re: Re: Lithium Orotate Thanks for the replies. The low lithium level was discovered from lab blood draw results. Have any of you seen any behavior improvements after adding the lithium?Sent from my Cricket smartphone wrote:>>Hi >>We are taking 4.8mg once a day. Guest guest
Hi All I can say that when we were on it that term it was good, but may have been other things!! We are back on again now, after a supply hiccup, so we will see if there are changes again.
