Guest guest
Hi Robin, I am on prozac and have been for all 3 pregnancies. The docs say it is a safe drug to take while pregnant and even breastfeeding. I too think I will be on prozac for ther est of my life but I can deal with that. I was on klonopin also for anxiety attacks and just stopped taking those 2-3 months ago and so far so goo but quitting the prozan makes me severely depressed and mood swingy too. My 4 kids are all healthy and happy, no problems at all from prozac or anything else. Good luck, I am sure it is okay to take and your baby will be just fine. God Bless, Robin Wife to Pup for 15 years Mommy to- and (twin boys, 8 years) and Daughter Madison- age 5 1/2 and new Mommy to- Emerson Roger born July 28, 2004 at 4:11 am 8lbs 7 oz, 20 1/2 inches long. Guest guest
Robin, I was on two weekly Prozac when I got pregnant. After talking with my Dr. I started taking one a week. Got a little down for a while went back to talk to her and she put me on Buspar 10 mgs twice a day. Seems to be doing the trick. I am down but not really down. From what I understand Prozac and Buspar are both a Class B drug so should be safe for you during pregnancy. One thing I know I can't do on these meds is breastfeed. I will be 6 mths this Thursday and I have gained 9 pounds all together. I don't like to see the scale going up, that makes me sad > >Reply-To: OSSG-pregnant >To: <OSSG-pregnant > >Subject: Antidepressants while pregnant >Date: Mon, 13 Sep 2004 11:34:20 -0500 > >Hi everyone.
