Guest guest
It has been a while since pyroluria has been discussed on here. I am wondering if anyone has done testing for pyroluria and/or if they have been treating for it. My son has tanked lately and the only real change I can attribute it to is a change of the brand of GABA. The old GABA has B6, but the new one does not which means he isn't getting any supplemental B6 at all. All the other little changes that have gone on shouldn't be causing the increased behaviors for this length of time. If you have been treating for pyroluria, how is it going and what all do you do to treat it? My son has a history of being consistently deficient in B6 which has never really been addressed by his DAN and I think it basically got forgotten and he has had low zinc. The zinc was successfully brought up in his blood serum, but a red blood cell element test showed that he was still low in his red blood cells. So...I am thinking that I need to get serious about investigating and possibly treating pyroluria. Thanks, Cathy
