Hi Everyone,

I am new here also. I just found out that I am pregnant and I am

only 5 1/2 weeks out of surgery. I was in no way trying to get

pregnant. I was on the pill and I have a 10 month old... so this

was very unexpected and pretty scarey. I was not informed after

surgery that the pill can lose it's effectiveness on WLS patients.

According to my LMP I am 5w1d. Has anyone else every gotten

pregnant this early out, or even know someone who did, or who is? I

could really use some advice and I would just love to hear that I am

not the only one to be as many weeks pregnant as I am out of

surgery. I look forward to getting to know you. Oh.. does anyone

have any information that I can take to my OB, my surgeon wasn't

very informative. I go on Friday so anything would be much

appreciated.

folic acid and calcium are the most inportant ones and tryt o drink as much

water as you can. this is not the end of the world. i am starting to get low

on my labs, but it's due to dehydration and morning sickness, but now i'm on two

meds taht keep me from trhowing up all the time and i've not thrown up in 4 days

and sleep great and eat well, it's wonderful! you will be okay...and you can

deliver a healthy baby. congrats and good luck, email me anytime. my surgeon

was very supportive and so was my perinatologist...just make sure they check

your nutrition labs often and stay up on those vitmains even if you can't eat
