Guest guest
I know this is probably just bad timing, but I have had two people in my life recently have issues with their babies. One baby had the cord wrap around her neck in utero and was stillborn at 38 weeks. The second was born 10 days late, but the doctor's say that there was some trauma in utero and the baby was born with a Syndrome where the skeleton didn't form completely or correctly, requiring a lot of reconstructive surgery in the baby's future (baby still can't swallow or suck and is in the hospital, 4 wks after birth). My husband knows I am paranoid, this being my first baby, but are problems like this common or am I just surrounded by really unlucky people right now? paranoid first timer, edd 2/1/05 rny 4/
Guest guest
, Im not a good one to ask, first of all b/c I am an L & D RN. I see bad stuff rarely, but just ONE bad outcome is too much for me. During my pg, I as convinced something horrible was going to happen to my baby. Unfortunately. my neices baby was discovered to have a tight nuchal cord at 38 weeks and was still born as wel. Of course this was around the same time I was 30+ weeks and I was so TOTALLY paranoid! Its normal to be paranoid. and its also normal for those babies to wrap, twist, turn, flip and flop in there. My God's grace, the majority are perfectly healthy. i am trying to reassure you, yet let you know there are risks. Sorry I cant be of more help honey, I went through the same things with!! lol (both of mine-pre and post wls- are perfect now!) Just try to relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sheila
