Hi there -

I've posted on this 'situation' many times (if you'd like you could

search my past posts by my username I believe) I've had the wonderful

experience of getting Iron transfusions everywhere from my arm -

neck - ankle...and everywhere from quarterly to weekly for two years.

It really depends on your ferum level as to whether or not you will

notice any type of change immediately.

I was so severely Anemic that it took several months (weekly

transfusions at the Kemo lab) before I noticed ANY CHANGES.

Thankfully in this pregnancy - I've only had to have two treatments

and things seem to be carrying on healthy.

I've had 19 iron infusions (much less painful than muscle)- and it has

only raised my hemoglobin from 6.2 to 12.3. My ferritin level however

has raised from " 2 " <--nearly dead according to my hem/oncologist) to

32 so far.

I starting feeling better after 10 of them.

best wishes!

:)
