Hi is, I just wanted to let you know that we are now on day 8 of valtrex generic and so far so good. We saw some increased hyperactivity and meltdowns at first but the last couple days seem better. I am very surprised given my son's track record with reactions (although I suppose i shouldn't say this too soon!)...anyway, hopefully this will hold and he will continue to improve. I think he has had some improvements in conversation exchanges (more typical), cognition/receptive language and possibly a bit less OCD and able to focus more...we will see how school goes next week since we have been away for nearly a week (there have been alot of behavior issues at school this summer)....he is still probably not the best he has been (we have so many ups and

downs) but I am thinking that could still be related to the allergies/low cortisol so we will trial ACE or compounded cortisol after the valtrex trial period. I hope your trial goes smoothly too!! Good luck! To: mb12valtrex Sent: Friday, July 6, 2012 2:08 PM Subject: Re: Cold Sore

Thanks . My son is starting extended school year program from monday and finally is going to be with the teacher that we adore. I am just too nervous to start it during the summer school in case he will have initial worsening as this summer school performance will determine his placement for the next year. Last year his summer school experience was not good as he had issue with spontaneous speech and there was a new teacher. So he ended up in a class with mostly nonverbal kids. He has improved this year because of biomed and the hard work of his teacher and me but he picked up a lot of bad behaviors from the boys in his class. Those poor kids are not on any biomed and eat junk all day and scream every couple minutes. So my fear is that if something happens to his behavior during summer from valtrex, he will end up in a class like last year and will end up in a similar situation. But learning about your experience has given me some

encouragement. I wish some other valtrex users will share their experience too. It would help if I can find out that after how many days/weeks I will be seeing die off/negatives if any. My son is definitely a viral kid as proven by a lot of testing. I have a feeling that custom probiotics is helping with viruses also. Thanks again for your help and I am very happy to know that your child is a valtrex responder.

Hi ,

Thanks for the update on your son's valtrex trial. I think the next couple of

weeks will make the picture a bit more clear for you. Keep us posted. I am still

on the second round of diflucan/vancomycin and now am pretty sure that my son

has a tough time handling die off. I have been using magnesium sulfate cream,

lemon juice, baking soda and activated charcoal but as soon as the die off

starts, he starts getting the tantrums, screaming but I see the gains also so

that keeps me going. After the 4 rounds of vancomyicn are done, I will start

valtrex and that has to be done definitely during summer.

Good luck
