Guest guest
Hi heather, While I don't know how much you weigh, I'm assuming that since your 16 months out you're probably somewhat close to your goal weight.. (OH, I see 30 lbs away DUH!!), well that's close enough to your goal weight for me.. I think that it is absolutely FOOLISH of your surgeon to tell you how much you should gain.. Your OB will probably tell you that that is too little.. My advice is to not worry about the scale.. A normal pregnancy gain is 25-35 lbs.. You will lose about 20 almost instantly, so please, it is MUCH more important for your baby to get the nourishment that it needs than for your surgeons statistics to stay good! LOL.. With my first post op pregnancy (8 months post op!), I was STARVING all the time.. I ate constantly.. I ended up gaining 5 lbs for my entire pregnancy (I was also 55 lbs away from goal).. Eat when you're hungry.. As long as it is food that is good for you and the baby, don't worry about it!! GOOD LUCK! > hello. i posted a few days ago, about being able to have a vaginal > birth because of hernia issues and surguries... anyways, i wanted to > thank those who had advice and personal notes for me. > > i am almost 7 weeks pregnant, and i feel like i am hungry all the > time, and find myself " grazing " all day with food... is this normal > for post-op's? i never really felt hungry before- not like this. i am > 16 months post-op open rouen-y.
