Guest guest
Hi all, My son started to have a bit of a fever yesterday. I have read somewhere Kerri referring to Dr. Bock's book that a fever is good. A suggestion to not use fever reducing drugs is suggested. As long as the fever does not get very high, we are expecting to let the fever work its way through. What are some ways to help with the fever naturally like cold compresses, cool/warm bath and drink lots of liquids? Can you tell me your thoughts? Thanks,Rolando
Guest guest
I agree w/Tammy, if it's not to high let the fever help the body fight what it is fighting. We will have our child adjusted by our chiropractor to also help boost immunity. One GREAT trick our herbalist taught us...I would not have believed it if I did not see it w/my own eyes. The school called me to come get , he felt horrible w/a 102 fever. I was a " natural-in-training " you might say...I told my husband I was going to bring him to the herbalist instead of my normal MD route.... I hauled him in he wanted to lay down as he felt to weak to sit in the waiting room.....30 min later he was standing joking w/the receptionist w/a 99 temp...all using just pure alcohol & pure cotton balls...couldn't believe it I had to stop at a liquor store on my way home to get some pure Vodka, the little bottles are now in my natural medicine cabinet....works for the neighbors too ) radical change! You take a PURE 100% cotton ball, put some pure alcohol, he/we use Vodka put it on the cotton ball. Now rub with light-med pressure (not hard, not soft pressure) up/down on the back on the spine between the top of the neck (at the hair line) & the middle of the back (like right around where the bra line would be). As an acupuncurist he told us that's where the tempurature gauge of the body is. For adults he would cup there to draw the infection further out of the body. He took a temp reading before doing this, 102...took a temp reading after doing this 99. Would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. We also engage warm (NOT HOT, as cool as you can get it) epsom salt baths). Let them sit in it as long as they like w/lots of toys....it cools down more ;o). They Always feel better after ( & I've help increase there magneseum levels to help their body fight ) HTH, Blessings, Rita > > Very rarely do I ever interfere with my childrens' fevers.
