Guest guest
Is there a way the doc can tell you have diabetes, or have a suspicion, before having any kinda of glucose test? I went to the doc about a week ago. I had my finger pricked, weighed, urine test, and BP--no blood drawn. We spoke about the GTT. I told her I did not want to take it and why---she said she would research wether the fasting was as accurate and also get more info about GB patients taking it etc.. (which I thought was good of her--research as opposed to acting like she knows everything). And that she would get back to me in a few days. Well a few days later, I get a call from a " Diabetes Center " and they said that my doc referred me and they had already set an appointment for me (a few days after original doc appointment). (I never got the message b/c hubby didn't give it to me----URGHHHHH) but now I wonder what's going on. Could she have seen something that she wanted checked out immediately??? Originally when we talked about the GTT, she wanted it done in 4 weeks and this new appointment was MUCH sooner. (I am 24 weeks). Let me know what you think.
