I posted Labor Day weekend about telling my husband that I was

pregnant. Just wanted to give you an update.

September 7th was our anniversary. I had picked up one of the

digital tests and put it in a box with a bow. We went to dinner and

exchanged cards. I gave him the box. He opened it and there was

this look of confusion. Later I found out he thought I gave him a

thermometer. Needless to say once he figured out what it was he was

estatic. I had wanted to wait to tell people until I was farther

along (only 5 wks at that time) but he didn't. We were only half way

through dinner and he was asking for the check so we could tell our

families. The reactions have been wonderful.

I have some questions though. I had an ultrasound at 5w 6d for

bleeding that I was having prior to being pregnant. They were not

able to see the heartbeat. Dr's office said that we might not prior

to the appointment. I have to go back when I'm 8w to check for

viability. Has anyone else run into this? It makes me kind of

nervous but I'm trying to be calm.

My other question is about birthing centers. I love my OB who is not

affiliated with a birthing center that I would love to have my baby

at. In your experience, how do Dr's feel about you changing. I was

thinking that if I switch to the birthing center and at some point

they tell me I have to give birth in the hospital I will switch back

to my original one.

Thanks for listening!

Sherri
