Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the group. I am a speech pathologist with a 2 year old who has a history of ear infections and has already had 1 set of ear tubes. We are monitoring him for apraxia but are not sure if he just has phonological processing and some language delays bc of the ear infections. Are there any other SLPs on here? I was wondering how you can differentiate your clients who have apraxia from those who have phonological processing disorders? I have only worked with 1 truly apraxic client. I enjoy the posts and am looking into whether or not my child does have a milk allergy. They may take out adenoids and put another set of tubes in in 3 weeks if his fluid does not clear with the Nasonex alone. Thanks, Carissima Mom and SLP <renee@...> wrote: Intereresting. I would be real curious what Dr. Neubrander would have to say about that. I see it as a clue... let us know what you find out. Neubrander has been doing the b12 protocal for many years and has been focusing on our kids exclusively - I've seen him speak, I would try to get his take on it. > > We started the B12 shots about a week ago and I noticed that my dd, who is almost three, is doing what seems to be a tourette's thing... She bends forward at her waist and makes a grunting noise and then repeats it for about 5 or 6 times in a very repetitive way...and then she just stops and goes back to what she's doing. this is new as of doing the shots. It happens about three or 4 times a day. I have no idea what this could be. Any ideas? thanks. tara > > > --------------------------------- > Never miss a thing.
