Guest guest
The question here is this: Is vitamin A in measles functioning as an anti-oxidant or as an immune helper. If anti-oxidant then we can boost up the same role with vitamin C, E (Olive leaf extract), selenium in addition to A. But if we want to work on immune system then we must remember that immune cells have to be SATURATED with loads of vitamin C to be able to swallow and kill the virus. Without C they will not be effective and the virus, even if swallowed by them, will survive inside them (inside the immune cells). I have reference on this last idea to support it.Ratan.---------------Ratan Singh, Phone: 91 141 4022609, 098281 99856, mail: ratanpsych@..., Consultant in Nutritional & Neuro-behavioural Psychology, Jaipur Hospital- Certificate in Food & Nutrition; Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education; Life Member, Nutrition Soc. of India; Member ISOM- Author of "Nutrition & Supplements in Major Mental Illnesses";- M.A. (Psychol), Postgraduate Diploma in Medical & Social Psychology, Ph.D.;- Certified Behavior Therapist (from late Prof. J. His titers show high measles. I have done the High Dose Vitamin A Protocol for him every 3 months @ 400,000 IU/day for 2 days followed by 25,000 IU maintenance everyday but all the symptoms come back every 2 months. Has anyone done a more aggressive protocol than this? And I have tried lots of other things for measles - Immunovir, Amantadine, Lauricidin, etc. etc. The High Dose Vitamin A Protocol seems to help the most, however, this doasge may not be enough. Does anyone have a different protocol? Also can you suggest a DAN who can help us with anti-virals (we live in Houston)? Our DAN isn't very much into anti-virals. Guest guest
I need a day or two to dig out the reference. Can someone please remind me if I don't get back with the reference on that immune cells need to be saturated with C to be able to swallow and kill virus. I will today start searching for the reference I read long ago.Ratan.Ratan Singh, Phone: 91 141 4022609, 098281 99856, mail: ratanpsych@..., Consultant in Nutritional & Neuro-behavioural Psychology, Jaipur Hospital- Certificate in Food & Nutrition; Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education; Life Member, Nutrition Soc. of India; Member ISOM- Author of "Nutrition & Supplements in Major Mental Illnesses";- M.A. (Psychol), Postgraduate Diploma in Medical & Social Psychology, Ph.D.;- Certified Behavior Therapist (from late Prof. J.
