Question about sex after delivery...

Hello everyone!

I haven't had a chance to look into any of my books so I thought I would

post this question to the group! How long do we need to wait to have

sex after birth? I know they say (is this a suggestion or a hard, fast

rule?) waiting 6 weeks-but is that subject to the individual and if you

feel that you are ready earlier? I cannot remember! I had my son

8/21/04 (he is almost 4 weeks old) and am crawling the walls waiting!

Haha (Sorry if that is TMI!) I had a vaginal birth; no rips, tears or

complications at that time. I did hemorrhage 2 weeks after birth but

that was taken under control and now I am just having the " normal " light

flow. I thought I would call my doctor in a few days to ask but wanted

to start here first with your input. I am probably part of that small

percentage that had sex the entire pregnancy; actually did right up to

the day I had my son!!
