Guest guest
Thanks for the info on diet...makes more since now. I've always been heavy, and I'm thinking that the decrease in activity (especially in the past year) is really the main problem. I'm going to have to MAKE myself get out more, regardless of pain and fatigue. I think it would really do my whole family some good to get out and walk several times a week. I do believe that I'll be more motivated when Spring finally comes around...lots of mulching and flower planting in the near future. We have a lot to take care of with a huge garden, grape vines, and beehives for honey. It's sooo worth it though. Nothin' like fresh veggies and jams. I really like canning veggies and soups, and freezing stuff to last throughout the year. As for my MUSC visit, I'm scheduled to be there at 11:30 AM on Feb.23...I'm sure a overnight stay will be in order because I seem to always have a flare following an ERCP and especially with him not knowing exactly what he's going to do until he gets in there. It would great to meet you, but by no means, don't feel obligated...I know everyone stays busy through the week and usually on the weekends too! But like I said, I would love to meet you if you decide to come by. I have no idea where I'll end up following the procedure, so your guess is as good as mine. I'm really dreading leaving my little man behind again. He's going through a real " I want ONLY momma " stage, so I hope that he'll be ok with my family. I'll just have to promise lots of " tootie " making when I get back! Thanks again for the diet info, and I hope that you're doing well. Talk to you soon! :0)--- Kim S./ NC
Guest guest
I am sad to hear that this scar has made things harder for you. I am selfconscious enough without any large scars (only gallbladder removal scars). I am and always have been overweight, and getting naked in front of ANYONE, man or not, just was out of the question. When I met my husband, I hated to think of him ever seeing me naked...but, you know what? He loved me for me and couldn't believe that I was so negative about myself. Again, I don't have a scar like yours, but I have the weight thing that was hindering me. When you meet a man that you love more than anything, and loves you for you, the scars ain't going to mean nothing to him...he's going to be more interested in YOU. I know that it's a lot easier said than done and I wouldn't have ever believed it before I had this experience with my hubby. I hope that you find the man of your dreams and that you're walking around the house naked before you know it!! :0)--Kim S.

Guest guest
Sorry I missed ya...and hate to hear that you were sick. In all honesty, I wouldn't have know you were there...totally knocked me out for the ERCP and took me a long time to come to and for my kidneys to begin working again for that matter...is that normal with sedation? I stayed on the 5th floor and recognized some of the nurses from the last time...there is one with short dark hair (might be head nurse on that floor) and she is always so nice. I think my favorite nurse so far is ...she's one of the ones who prep you for ERCPs and such...long dark hair...she always gives me a hard time because of the southern accent. Well, like I said before, off to bed. Hope to be a better poster soon!! Kim S.
Guest guest
Hey...I agree about the ERCP (shiver)...it's the worst!! That was actually my third ERCP and Dr.Cotton said that the pressure and all was fine, but placed a metal stent (first for me) to see if it might help the pain and the levels. I don't know if I'm hurting worse because of this new kind of stent he used or not...I feel like I'm about to die. I did come home with some stronger pain meds that I have had, but they still aren't really helping. I'm thinking that I'm going to call my local doc tomorrow to see if I can see her, and let her contact Dr.Cotton once again to let him know something just isn't right...maybe by then he'll have my CT scan results back. Hope y'all are doing well, and hope to be back up and posting more soon. Kim S.
