I have also had this problem in the past...never really thought much

about it. Seems like that I heard that this might be a early sign

of diabetes...old wives tale maybe, but I did hear that somewhere.

If ya hear of why this happens, please share with me! Hope you are

having a better day, and wouldn't it be nice to have an " off " swith

to our rebel pancreases?

Thanks Heidi,

I figured it had to have something to do with the pancreatitis. I had never

had it before until I started with pancreatitis in 2003. It is getting worse.

I will talk to the doc about it and see what he says.

Thanks for the info!

Kim and Angie,

No, it's not an " old wive's tail " , itching in the feet and hands is

one of the early symptoms of diabetes. I had terrible itching in my

feet the first year that I had CP. No troubles with the hands, that I

remember, but each night when I put my feet up on the ottoman to watch

TV, my feet would itch like the dickens! Six months later I had diabetes.

I'm not saying that this itching confirms anything, just acknowledging

that it DOES happen to some people that become diabetic. Once I

started on insulin, the itching went away.

With love, hope and prayers,

Heidi
