Hi ,

I am happy to get that information for you. But I am not sure if I

can post the whole articles on this board. I think it would violate

the subscribers agreement about not disseminating it on other

online places - the copyright stuff I think. I think it is ok to post

snippets as long as you give credit to the authors and journals,

etc...and I do not have a problem emailing the article to you for

your personal use. So, give me a day or so (workdays as I don't

have a computer at home) and I will see what kind of good

information I can find. I can also look to see if your surgeon has

published any data on this type of surgery if you think that would

be useful. I will just need to know his name.

Thanks for the kind words!

But as far as your scar - I wouldn't give up hope that it will

diminish in hideousness.........I think most abdominal scars start

out like you described. I thought of mine the same way....as

another big butt on my tummy - I would burst into tears whenever

I got a glimpse of it in the mirror or when I looked at myself. The

bunching and stuff may reduce too, unless you are prone to

keloids (?). Seriously, give it some time yet, maybe try that

vitamin e scar stuff....and remember that there are a lot of men

out there who are not so selfish that they judge a woman by

looks and perfection alone. Afterall I bet there are plenty of men

walking around with scars on their bodies too (heart surgery,

hernia, etc). Just think of the returning war vets from WWII or

korea or Viet Nam...they were scarred too and I think that their

loved ones were just grateful for their return and never even took

notice of the scarring as a turn-off.

I would love to meet you too but I am a little far away from your

warm SC. I live in cold (close to zero today when we woke up)

Wisconsin. I haven't been farther east than Indy this past

December, but I have heard that SC and Alabama are so

gorgeous with the flowers and hills and southern mansions......it

is a trip that I may make some day!
