Guest guest
Angie, Neurontin was initially used for post-theraputic neuralgia, to help control or minimize epileptic seizures. As use of the medication increased, physicians learned that it also has been effectively used for pain relief, especially with diabetic neuropathic pain and arthritis. My Pain Management doctor started me on it to see if it would help with my pancreas pain. Fortunately, I don't have an neuropathic pain with my diabetes, but he said he had found it effective with several other of his patients who had chronic pain from different medical problems. Eager to try anything that wasn't a narcotic, and not habit forming, I started taking it and found that it helped me a lot. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
