Guest guest
, Are you having the big fluctuations in yours also? Angie, I'm not haivng them as bad as you are...but yes I am now getting them.I just had FBS done and I also had a H...something done...Diabetes runs in my family...BIG history of it. Are you going to see Dr. Cotton? I'm serious about going to see him.I've got to make the appointment in the next couple of days.My legs hurt really bad after eating. I would push for the pain clinic...Keep calling your GI...I had to everyday until they referred me....Thank God they did...I now know I have had Pancreatitis for a lot of years... If your GI won't ... talk to your family doctor.Your dx of pancreatitis is enough to get you to a pain clinic. Keep bugging them.Otherwise find another doctor. Guest guest
, My GI doc called me back tonight about my pain management question. One week after I called him! He sure took his time. He said that he wants me to wait until I go to ton to see what they say about pain management. To him this is no big deal. His callous attitude is making me really lose faith in him. If it was him in pain I bet his attitude would be different! I am going to see Dr. Hawes for a consult and then I don't know where I go from there. I am not seeing Dr. Cotton. From what I have read on here they are both great docs. I am really looking forward to meeting him and seeing what he has to say. Oh and get this, my GI doc's reply to my blood glucose level issues, if you are on a high carb diet it can make your levels fluctuate. I told him well, you put me on the high carb diet for my pancreatitis. He said, I know and it can make your levels fluctuate. I gave up at that point and told him to have a good night. I intend to follow up with my PCP and go through the testing and when I go to MUSC see who they recommend in my area for a new GI doc. Thanks so much for caring and I hope you are feeling great today! I hope tomorrow is pain free and that your glucose levels stay even!
