Guest guest
Hello, yes I do recognize the strange feeling underneath my shoulderblade and fist on my rib left side as some of the first symptoms. I had that too for quite a while not knowing what it could be. Had had breastcancerop and thought it would be connected but probably not, just the beginning of CP. I often did put my hand on my left hip and vaist as to press, had like something beeing in the way underneath my left rib, that was the feeling. My friends noted my strange behaviour and often asked if somehing was wrong with me. Now I have had bad symptoms and pain for nearly 2 years this happened before that time when I still could eat normally. SUGAR I just have to put the question again as I have read some intersting mail about sugarlevels since I posted about this myself. Is it common that your bloodsugar jump when having CP? Change from low to high in 2-4 hours? Our low fat, hig carbo diet isnt the best for the insulinlevel as I understand, but still (european standards 3.5-11.5, 4.5-9.0 in a few hours,I am feeling strange when under 4 and over 8.5 , 5-6 is normal, under 2 coma, over 15 danger coma) My orthopeddoc(checks on my op hip) reacted and gave me a glucometer but the gastro and endocrinologist they dont listen to my complaints and symptoms, blurry vision, slow thinking ability, loosing my balance as if nearly fainting, cold, pale, cramps in my legs. I do get better if I eat something, within 1/2 hour, but that is long if your on the street, at work or in the subway! I just want sweets like jellybabies, I try to eat fruit instead. Please someone who recognize symptoms let me know about your situation. All the best and love from snowy Stockholm and Sonja
Guest guest
Sonja, I am having the same kind of thing happening with my blood sugar. I went to the doc today for a glucose tolerance test. I am not sure how they do that in Stockholm. We have to drink a sugary liquid and they check your sugar levels every 30 min. to 1 hour for several hours. They should at least do that for you. They need to take this seriously! Especially with you having pancreatitis. My GI did not but my primary care doctor did. Thank goodness! Today when they did my test my sugar to start was 67. Then they gave me the glucose, in the first hour it was 313. In the second hour it was 80. 30 min. later it was 39!!! They had to stop the test because I almost fainted and give me orange juice and cheese and crackers and glucose tablets. It is a horrible feeling to have your sugar going crazy like that. I hope you can find a doc that will listen to you! Take care! Guest guest
Thank you for answering my question. Been on the board a couple days and already seeing a connection. Why did't the doctors? Probably because no stomach pain. Thanks so much. Darlene
