Otreotide injections to Pat

I have had octreotide many many times. Once a month for several

months. I was beginning to get frustrated because I was still in

pain and told the doc I didnt want it anymore. Well it didnt take

long for me to realize the injection DID help. Within 6 weeks I was

asking for another injection. It did not take my pain away entirely

but certainly decreased it and I did not need to take as many

narcs.

If your doc is suggesting it, give it a shot (all puns intended)

what do you have to loose. The shot itself does not hurt at all.

Now phenergan IM, thats a shot that hurts.
