Guest guest
Heidi, The location of my pseudocyts are no where near my stomach and they say that they can only drain in when they are near the stomach. If they tried to do anything but aspirate the one that I had I would have problems with fisuals forming (I am not sure if I am spelling that right I was in a great deal of pain when the radiologist was explaining this to me). I've actually been told that once you have had one pseudocyst aspirated that you have a 50% chance of it returning and if it does return it will probably be bigger. That is very dangerous because I think that I have been told that any pseudocyst over 5cm is considered dangerous and at 10 cm they have to act immediatly (when I first got pancreatitis I had a 14 cm pseudocyst that required external drains, and stenting). The doctor has mentioned tho that if the pseudocyst keeps reocurring at this rate (it went from being drained and having nothing left to being 10cm in less then 2 months ) then they are going to have to consider some kind of surgery but they are not sure what they would do. I hate that the doctors never have definite answers for me - it is ALWAYS a maybe. -a
