I also have ideopathic chronic pancreatitis. I have been tested for lupus

and it was negative. It is very frustrating when it is ideopathic because so

many docs want to give up when they can't find a reason for something. I will

say

if it was not for my pain meds I take at home I could not function. I am

sorry you are going through so much!

I do hope that you are alittle better today. I am sorry for the

stuff you had to go through before getting your proper diagnoses.

Most of us here (on this board) have spent many years trying to

figure out what was wrong and trying to get doctors to listen to our

complaints. I know exactly where you are coming from. I'm glad you

found this board. I hope you continue to post and stay for awhile.

There are some very nice people here and we all try to help each

other get through our daily lives together. Your post really got my

attention because my mother was just recently diagnosed with an

elevated ANA level and she is currently being tested for different

auto-immune diseases. I, myself, also have celiac disease along

with the pancreatitis and SOD (sphincter of oddi dysfunction).

Anyway, my mother's blood work seems to be pointing towards lupus

and sjrogens syndrome. If you wouldn't mind, could you please post

to me and let me know how you got your diagnoses for those 2 auto-

immune diseases and how you are managing them. Thanks for any

information, and I hope you are feeling better.
