That is really great that you are feeling so much better. You dont

have to have another ercp to check to see if the stent is still

there. Your doctor should have ordered a simple chest x-ray a few

weeks post the ercp to see if the stent had migrated or not. Who

did your ERCP and how long ago was it? Most stents do migrate and

you will pass them in your stool and never even know it. Sounds

like it is doing its job since you are feeling so much better.

A blood glucose of 113-115 is within the normal and expected range;

good for you. You should check your sugar every morning before you

have put anything in your mouth and then again 2 hours after

eating. It take about 90 monutes for the food to leave your stomach

and travel down the duodenum then a few minutes longer before it

reaches the area of the sphinter of oddi where the pancrease sends

out enzymes. Insulin will not enter tthe blood stream from your

panc until the food stuff has been broken down and absorbed by the

intestinal wall; they sort of meet in the middle. so you need to

give yourself 2 hours after eating to check you blood sugar levels.

But 113-115 is great!!

I hope you continue to feel better,

Warmly
