Donna,

Boy, do I know what you mean.....I couldn't have done both foot and hand at

the same time, though, especially since they're on opposite sides and now I'm

using the hand more to balance. Do you have someone there to help you

out?

I want to go ahead and have the CTS surgery done, too, as soon as possible.

Although to outsider's it may sound as though I've suddenly become

" surgery-happy " , or whatever the phobic term is for people who like to have

all this stuff done, there's actually a method to this madness.....because

having surgery every two months MUST be madness! The reason I'm

pushing now to have all these problems fixed as soon as I can is because of

my husband's unstable employment situation. The bankrupt airline that he

flies for could close their doors at any moment, the rumors have been flying

and the threat is very real. So many of his friends have already been laid off,

and they keep announcing more cuts, that even working there has become

depressing and stressful. When the inevitable happens, he'll have no

insurance anymore, and as you know, we are all so medically challenged that

good insurance is a must. I'm uninsurable now, and so grateful that what he

has right now covers me100%, and pays 100% for any necessary surgery.

So that's why I've suddenly become so agreeable to go under the knife. I

need to get all of these problems fixed while we still have the insurance to

cover it. Once I get on Medicare in September, I doubt that the coverage I'll

be able to get will be as all-inclusive as what we have now is.

I hope you continue to do as well as you have, Donna. I'd been told that the

CTS surgery WAS a breeze, but I still think you were really couragous to do

both hand and leg at the same time. I hope you continue to do as well as you

sound, and that when all the bandages come off you'll feel better than new.

With love, hope and prayers,

Heidi
