Guest guest
Anastomosis is the surgical reconnection of 2 or more tubular structures; like in the intestines. With a whipple they remove more then they do with the Beger so there is more stuff to reconnect and put back together. The Beger spares the antrum of the stomach and the duodenum. Less reconnection less likelyhood of complications, in my minds eye anyway. I was more then likely way off base but I was scared to death to have the whipple. I still had the head of my panc removed tho. My scar was just below my sternum to just above my navel. I thought it was the worst ever, but looking back I would love to have that lil'ole scar back...LOL. When are you seeing the surgeon? Have you gotten any names? what hospital? gotta run and pick up the kids. Seems today has just gone by so fast. Feel free to ask me anything you want. We go way back when you still lived KY, right. My memory has really gotten a beating from all the drugs. Seems like the last 2 years have just been a fog. Probably a lot of stuff I dont want to remember. Oh, dont worry about the money, you have been paying a long time for your disability insurance, that is YOUR $$, you put it in there and it is yours to use when you need it. I wish I had had the common sense to buy long term, just had short term and that went a long time ago. Warml, christine
