Guest guest
Chrissy, Once Bob leaves, I'm totally on my own again, so yes, I will need to drive. Can I drive a stick, well gee, sure, how could I have forgotten about that? It's only been the last 8 years that I've driven an automatic transmission, now that I think about it!!! Duhhhh! I learned on a stick, and always had one, usually VW's or Hondas. My favorite was the little '60 MG convertible that my FIL gave me. I didn't have automatic transmission until I got my first Jeep GJ. in '96 How could I have forgotten....except that there are still times that I reach down to shift in the Jeep when coming to a sudden stop, as though down-shifting! Well, then I don't suppose the two footed driving will bother me at all as long as I don't try to find a clutch...lol! No real baths until the stitches are taken out a week from Wednesday, but the tub set up that I've got going in 's tub has worked out well, I just still have to use the kitchen sink to wash my hair. Today was the first time I'd been out of the house in four days, but it felt like four weeks. It was so nice to be outside with the sun on my face for a few minutes, but I found that just my brief outing to go to the doctors and the small amount of walking that required WAS enough to keep me off my feet for the rest of the afternoon. The doctor said that as soon as the foot hurt, to immediately get off it and elevate it, otherwise I'll do damage to where they put the screws in the bone. So I was a good patient and came home and put it up again. It's going to be some time before we can go on that trek through the outlet malls looking for those sandals, Chrissy. Maybe someone here in the group could help you with that resume. I'm sure that one of our girls has had experience with that...perhaps not with a nursing background, but enough of the other material that you could use as a basis for the background for yours. Maybe someone will chirp up and offer some help with it. I haven't had to do one for over 15 years or more, so I know I couldn't be of any help. Wish we'd known about that restaurant in BOWFORT when we took Austin up through the OBX two summers ago! We spent the night there, and the place we ate was the pits, but the town itself was delightful. Well, off to bed, my tootsies are tired tonight! With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
