Guest guest
Hi Chrissie, Sorry to read that you're feeling down. You know, you have been inspirational in the way you've coped with two big surgeries in such a short space of time. Of course I know very little about it, but I would have thought it would be bound to take a long time to get over a TP. My Prof told me I'd have a " tough year " if I had the surgery, even though I'd be much better after the first few weeks. It is very major surgery when all is said and done and you'd only just got over the first operation really. You've done very well so far and you can, and should be, very proud. Do you think it would be a good idea to discuss this with the docs? Do you see a doc locally or do you go back to the hospital where you had the op? I know you'll see your GP locally but do you still see on for example? You may be able to get some anti-depressant medication which could make the pain meds more effective. On the other hand, you may feel you prefer not to do that? Whatever you decide to do, I do hope you feel better very soon. You deserve to. Even without the operation, I know what it's like to see everybody else (or so it seems) able to go out and enjoy themselves, eat and drink what they want, do as much exercise as they like and never suffer any ill-effects. I also worry about pain meds. I'm with you in spirit, as so many others are, and I'll be hoping that brighter feelings chase away the dark ones as soon as poss. Take care. with love, Fliss (UK)
