Guest guest
Please dont let this disease stop you from achieving your dreams and goals. Granted life will be changed, altered forever. You can not do the same things you used to enjoy, but that does not mean that you can not still enjoy your life. Stay in school, dont ever quit. If you do you will regret it for the rest of your life. What is your major? What school do you attend? A lot of universities are offering classes you can take online. Maybe you can find another job that will allow you to work at a slower pace, typing papers for people is one that comes to mind. There was a girl in my class at MUSC that would type papers for others and she made a nice chunk of change. Or maybe a desk job, answering the phone or something. Please please dont let this disease win. Move in with your parents if you have to but DONT quit school. Also about SSDI, it takes a long time and there are a ton of paper work that needs to be done. You will need a lawyer and honey most people are turned down for the first time. Dont kid yourself thinking you can get SSDI in a few weeks time, it takes years. I know how hard it is to work with the condition. I tried like hell not to have to leave my job but unfortunetly I had to resign last summer. It was a great job, I really enjoyed thepatients. I wish there was some way that I could help you but please know that my warmest thought and hopes for things to get better are with you. Any time you want to talk please feel free to email me.
